A couple weeks ago, during practice, Alex got hurt.
He came home and Duane iced his knee and we gave him Advil. That was two weeks ago, and it was not getting better, only worse.
On Sunday, he started really complaining and even shed tears (that means it is bad!!), so Duane wanted him to get checked out.
I took him into the doctor this morning. After x-rays, he was diagnosed with a Medial Meniscus Tear.
Dr. Wells said, "No more football!"
He has to go to physical therapy for four weeks, and then we will see how he is doing. We would appreciate your prayers, that this will heal, without surgery!

Alex, I am sooooooooo sorry this happened to you. Uncle Aaron was always twisting his ankle when he played football. But a knee injury is worse! You must be one tough boy to have been walking on it all this time! But then that is what tough football players do. Work real hard with then Physical Therapist and get that knee stronger so you can play next year! Remember Grandma is rooting for you........all the time!! Love you,
Can I use this incident to explain to my boys that they shouldn't play football! lol They want to play organized football so badly they can taste it. At this point we haven't given in simply because of time and money. We'll see what happens next year.
